as of August 2009, this building, by far the most modern of the four at the corner of 1st & Broadway, houses a Big Lots store in the process of going out of business; Baker's first instance of "Main Street" zoning was applied to this lot as a curious consequence of Big Lots' open storage of recycled boxes in the back parking lot
