We've had our eye on this coffee shop for the last year when a sign originally went up in the window announcing an eventual opening in the Imperial Building on South Broadway. After Waterloo, formerly open for coffee and crepes in a cute setting, there has been a coffee void in south Baker that has only been filled by the Starbucks locations at Alameda and Broadway. It's hard to say when the business will finally open, but we peeked in and saw that the place mostly looks setup and should be cute.

Just wanted to say thanks for your interest in my coffee house, The Bardo. I have a FaceBook page where I've posted some interior pictures (see the link attached to my name). If you become a fan I'll be letting you know about the opening and other special events, as well as secret discounts and secret menu items. I've had an office in the neighborhood for almost 15 years, and I'm looking forward to becoming a real part of the neighborhood and getting to know all my future friends in the Baker area. I have almost everything ready to go inside. Right now I'm fine tuning the coffee machines and grinders, so it won't be long now.

That's great. The neighborhood has a fair number of coffee shops in or nearby, but none that I truly love. Can't wait to try out the Bardo!
