The Denver Design District is a retail location for providers of interior design services.
Perhaps best known for the tall yellow sculpture that has been there since the 1980s, it has historically had a feeling of being separate from the rest of the area.
In the mid 2000's the site was updated with a large glass room at the corner of Broadway and Center Ave which opened up that entrance to the design center making it more connected to Broadway.

Brief bio
I used to live in Baker and owned a company that had an office in the Bolt Factory. Even though I've moved out of the neighborhood I am still interested in what happens in the area.

a note on the name
note that area south of W. Virginia was long named "Denver Design Center", and is indeed focused on interior design services, though it also includes a culinary school and health services business; circa 2010 this area was rebranded "Denver Design District" and the name was used also for the formal planning documents of the entire proposed redevelopment area bounded by Broadway, Alameda, light rail, and Interstate-25
