Submitted by garbanzito on Wed, 09/30/2009 - 09:16
Rackhouse Pub is moving into the south end of the building now owned by Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey; Rackhouse has applied for a hotel and restaurant liquor license and a cabaret (dancing) license; the owners presented at the September BHNA meeting and their license hearing is today; according to the company's Twitter feed, they plan to open 9 October
Stranahan's will be using the brewery equipment left behind by Heavenly Daze in the north end; this WestWord article puts it all together

Rackhouse Pub to open this week
I stopped by yesterday and they said that they will open for business this Thurssday or Friday.
They will have 20 beers on tap to start, 19 of them from Colorado craft brewers. They plan to give whiskey barrels to the breweries so that the rackhouse can have custom oak-aged versions of some of our favorite beers from around the state. They are also stocking as much of the distilled spirits from local and/or national craft brewers as they can.
The menu looked good and quite reasonable ($7 to $10 for a typical sandwich).
really enjoyed the veggie
really enjoyed the veggie chili at Rackhouse tonight, even though it was slightly on the salty side for my low-salt taste; also a great selection of Colorado beers on tap
