Westword today quoted our 2011 article on the Webber Theater, so it seemed worth putting up this grab-shot of the interior during taken another spate of work in September 2012

this shot shows the lobby structure mostly removed, and debris being cleared from the gaping void of the slope-floored original theater space; the old proscenium is dimly visible

like Westword, we have no news on the building's fate

This photo is from June of 2011 when construction was underway ripping down the Waterloo coffee bar and preparing it to become the Adrift Tiki Bar.

construction permits have appeared, workers have been seen hauling material out of the building into a dumpster, a small fire broke out yesterday … all this has warmed up interest in the old Webber Theater at 119 S. Broadway, which still sports the Kitty's name though the "adult emporium" abandoned this location a couple of years ago (Pleasures, a similar business but without the "live girls", remains next door)
