the 10th edition of The Underground Music Showcase arrives on Broadway 22 through 25 July with a packed schedule including 300 bands at 25 venues, trivia, burlesque and "a party like no other" (to quote the website); many Baker residents will be attending, some will be volunteering, and several will be performing

the 21st Annual Baker Bargain Bonanza takes place 12 June 2010 throughout the neighborhood; a welcome desk will be at 1st & Acoma, and free parking will be available at 2nd & Acoma; the map of sales lists 45 sales and 10-20 more are expected to be listed on an insert

this event is rain or shine -- no rain date -- and at least some of the sales and other events will be under cover

the galleries and studios at The Bolt Factory will host a building-wide open house on Friday, 7 May 2010 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
